VTOS provides general education and training opportunities for unemployed adults, by enabling them to retain their Social Welfare entitlements whilst in full-time study.
This VTOS course is aimed at those who are interested in returning to training or education but feel they need to improve their overall standard of general knowledge and study skills so they are "ready to return" to further training, education or on to employment.
The modules chosen will help participants prepare to apply for suitable programmes in Coláiste Íde, other Colleges of Further Education, Training Centres, apprenticeships, CE Schemes, or to study at third level in 2019. This programme is also designed to help those who need to build on their basic skills, competences and confidence in order to commence or return to work.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF STUDY
Research and Study Skills, Team Working, Word Processing, Personal and Professional Development, Human Growth and Development, Cultural Social History, Communications, Nutrition, Safety and Health.
Participants will receive general and individual careers guidance, CV preparation and training for interviews.
Successful graduates may apply to a broad range of training and educational programmes or may progress directly to employment. Graduates who are 23 years in January 2019 may apply as mature students to 3rd Level colleges and universities.
