Students from a wide range of programmes within the college delivered various health promotion activities throughout the week. The aim being to promote and create awareness of a vast range of issues related to Mental Health, Physical Health, Suicide Awareness & Prevention and Sexual Health.

Activities through the week included a Physio Clinic, Exercise competitions/sessions, Alcohol Awareness, Meditation, Mindfullness, Hygiene Practice and a wide range of other Health related initiatives. Nutritious food was also provided throughout the week, not to mention the Live DJ..

Guest speakers dropped into the college and delivered interesting lectures on Mental/Physical Health and Drug Awareness. Motivational Guest Speaker David Gillick(Irish international track & Field Athlete) delivered an inspirational and engaging session. Also, Philip Jennings(Community Liaison Officer) provided students and teachers with a very insightful Drugs Awareness lecture.

Allcare Pharmacy staff provided students & teachers with blood pressure / glucose testing.

We appreciate the support of the Physiotherapy, Culinary, Social Care, Health & Physical Activity students and various other class groups (also guest speakers & Allcare pharmacy) who provided assistance and helped make the delivery of these activities possible.
